Over 70 new quilt bloggers are participating in this fantastic blog hop, and they are excited to share their photos, projects and quilty ideas with you!

We have 4 hosts, Yvonne from Quilting Jetgirl, Cheryl from Meadowmist Designs, Terri from Childlike Fascination and me, each posting about several new bloggers for you to check out every Monday over the course of 4 weeks.  It’s a big blog hop, so that also means big giveaways.  Scroll down to the bottom to check out this week’s awesome sponsors and big prizes.

Today I am excited to introduce you to the first 5 new bloggers in my group, the Sew Fabulous Hive:

Sandra @ Musings of A Menopausal Melon
Tessa @ Half Square Quilts
Jinger @ Trials of A Newbie Quilter
Kelly @  Quilting It Out
Johanna @ Sewing Time with Brownie

I invite you to click and visit their blogs, and leave them a friendly comment to show your love.  Bloggers appreciate comments so much; so many of us don’t have friends to sew with, and connect to the quilting world virtually.  Comments make the online quilting world go round!

If you are reading this blog post in your email, the links won’t open this time (a technological error that can’t be fixed). But if you click on the title of the blog post, it will take you out of your email and into an internet window. There you can read the updated version of this post where all the links are working. Sorry for the inconvenience, and thank you so much for making the effort to visit my friends’ blogs! It means so much to us.

I choose to follow if I love what they are sharing on their blog. I also tend to follow blogs that have more free tutorials than those that are linking everything to etsy shops. I do not follow those that do not post regularly.

I follow if they are showing interesting projects with decent photography and good writing. I also like to read a bit about them personally.

There are so many reasons to follow a blog, but I think the reason I choose most often is tutorials and free patterns. I love to learn new techniques and just see how other quilters handle certain issues (like half square triangles). Plus seeing fabrics that are chosen, techniques used and new designs and specialties that quilters create patterns with. My favorite holiday is Christmas!
