In the comment section below, I also would like to invite you to share one of the most interesting tidbits from your own“25 Things You Don’t Know About Me” list that you shared with your partner.
I wish I could swap with every single one of you. But since I can’t pull that off, I hope I can learn a little bit about each of you and consider you a friend, connected through our love of sewing….
By the way, I’m working on my next Supernova block right now, and thankfully, it’s going so much more smoothly than the first two. It turns out that my Viking machine doesn’t have the most accurate 1/4 inch foot. I switched to my cheapy little Brother, and voila, all my seam allowance problems have vanished (ahem… almost).
My next post will be from the shore of a tiny little lake in Upstate New York. I can’t wait to feel the cool morning breeze, see the glowing fireflies at dusk, and hear the chirping of the peepers in the evening.

Love your blocks! One of the interesting tidbits I Learned about my partner Chelsey Kohler @nini and the sea, is that she’s a human calculator. I wish I had that talent! Something about me: I wish I could’ve lived on a farm at some point in my former years.
I have no memory of the things I included on my list of 25 things about me as they were all just bits of silliness and I didn’t keep a copy. The list I received from my new friend Gail was such a joy to read. We truly met because of a quilt picture I posted on a facebook page, so we are brand new friends and know virtually nothing about each other. We’re quite diverse in background, age, and many other things, but we’re finding we are quite alike in many things, too. One thing, besides the obvious love of things quilting and sewing related, is that we both are very drawn to lighthouses. That was one of her 25 things, and I was so surprised that we have that in common. One of my next projects is an applique quilt, depicting some of the lighthouses in the Northeast we viewed on a quilt tour in the fall of 2012.
Hahah!!! Funny the lighthouses were mentioned by Nancy, they feature in the next month’s response as well! My favourite comment from Nancy’s list of 25 things was that she bought the house next door to her own and then knocked it down. I thought it was a unique and amusing comment, as well as being just the sort of thing I would do myself. As Nancy says, we have never met and barely know each other, but are clearly kindred spirits.
Joyce and I live on opposites side of the US, but discovered that we are very very similar in our interests. One of her 25 that made me giggle and want to know more is this: I am addicted to Starbucks and I do not even drink coffee. Now I need to know what is there that she IS addicted too. I loved her block and am looking forward to my package in July. Thanks for hosting this and finding my new friend!
I have been waiting to share that my new friend Julie and I have so much in common once we shared our 25 things. It is funny that we happened to pick each other. We share a love of Peanut M&M’s, water parks and baskets. You can read about it all here: http://www.scrappyhearts.com/2014/07/introducing-juilie.html
Stephanie, thanks to you and Sandra again for thinking up this terrific swap!
love your block stephanie! great question for this month too. ashlee and i got together today and were so anxious we swapped this month’s blocks already. posting on the blog about it very soon. hope you’ll stop by 🙂
It’s so great to read these comments. But Steph, you can learn even more about me now since I just nominated your for the Very Inspiring Blogger Award! One of the requirements (which you can read on my latest post) is that you include seven things people don’t know about you. I only used a few of my 25. 🙂
My partner and I actually met at our guild earlier this year and instantly hit it off. She reminds me of my younger self. We share many loves – birdhouses, the Cape, Tula Pink …
Stefanie, where do you vacation in upstate NY?
I just looked for the Facebook group you mentioned in this post but couldn’t find it. What am I doing wrong?? Thanks for the help!
Just wanted to let you know that I found the FB group. Sorry about that!
