I wanted to write a quick post to share the charity quilt that Yvonne from Quilting Jetgirl put together using the blocks designed by the new bloggers from the 2015 New Bloggers Blog Hop.
These are the same blocks that are highlighted on each weekly calendar of The Quilter’s Planner 2016! In about a week, there will be PDFs of these blocks available at The Quilter’s Planner website (making it much easier for you to print the tutorials out). As of right now, you can find the links to the blogger’s original posts with the tutorials below.
It’s such a fun, brightly colored quilt; I know it will bring a child great happiness. And Yvonne quilted it beautifully. It looks like she had a lot of fun letting herself be inspired by each block. Special thanks to Fabri-Quilt for donating the fabric used to make our charity quilts. Cheryl, from Meadowmist Designs, and I, will be be working on two more charity quilts using other blocks. I’ll post when they’re complete!

The Quilter’s Planners are also available now at Fat Quarter Shop for online sales!!!! Whoo hoooo!
Also, if you know of a brick and mortar quilt shop owner that might be interested in carrying them planners (there are thousands of quilters out there who are not a part of our intense social media and online community), please let them know to email me at latenightquilter{at}gmail.com for more information.

Great work, Yvonne!
Thank you so much, Lorinda! Most of the effort was made by the ladies who designed and made the blocks, though. 🙂
The pdf is a great idea. Yvonne’s quilt looks great. I’m looking forward to seeing the other two.
Thanks for sharing the quilt, Stephanie! It was so rewarding to put it together and get to gift it to Project Linus. 🙂
It looks so fantastic, Yvonne! You did a great job!
It’s so great to see everyone’s work together! I am looking forward to tomorrow’s quick project post, been gathering ideas to start (and hopefully finish) over the weekend.
Everything about this post makes me happy!! My block is in Yvonne’s quilt. And a quilter planner is on its way to me. 2015 was a great year!!!!
It’s beautiful – that turned out really lovely and fun! Looking forward to the planner – ordered 1 for myself and the other as a gift!
You mean people plan quilts? Maybe I should try that!! Normally I just wing it:)
Yvonne’s quilting on this was just amazing!
What a gorgeous quilt:)) I’m so glad it will warm a child and let them know they’re loved:)
Xx!
I love the quilt planner! What a fantastic idea. I after viewing the video I appreciate how many benefits there are. The pages to plan a quilt with fabric measurements, quilt size and fabric swatches. The journaling pages for special notes is outstanding. My favorite is having a catalog for the entire year to relflect back on! Years ago I was a Police Diatche and the Police Psychologist asked us to take up a hobby that consisted of hands-on immediate results to manage the daily stress we were exposed to. With the planner I anticipate my quilting skills will move to the next level with this tool! Having a catalog to reflect upon a year’s activity is a gift….. Cheryl
