It’s here! It’s here! It’s finally here!
Today I am launching the pre-order campaign for The Quilter’s Planner 2016!
I have been working so hard over the last several months to develop a beautiful and useful tool that will help us all organize our lives and our creative projects, all in one place.
The prototype arrived, and it is looking beautiful! I have had so much fun playing with it, highlighting it, scribbling all over it, testing it out.
What’s Inside:
- Monthly calendars
- Weekly calendars
- Project planning pages
- Swatch saver
- Graph paper
- Free motion quilting practice pages
- Goal-setting prompts
- 8 full quilt patterns from amazing designers (Cheryl Brickey (Meadowmist Designs), Yvonne Fuchs (Quilting Jetgirl), Amy Garro (13 Spools), Lee Heinrich (Freshly Pieced), Mandy Leins (Mandalei Quilts), Pat Sloan (Pat Sloan), Kitty Wilkin (Night Quilter) and me).
- 52 original quilt block designs from awesome quilt bloggers
- Gorgeous artwork pull-outs by the talented Kelsey Boes from Lovely and Enough
- Reference section for quilting calculations and common construction techniques
Monthly Calendar:
I love that the monthly calendar has prompts on the left to write your goals for the month, and the personal, work and quilting projects you need to tackle during the month. I also love the space on the bottom to write notes… phone numbers, addresses, reminders, ideas.
I decided to launch the pre-order campaign on a site called Indiegogo. If you click over, you can watch my video about the project and read a lot more details, and click to order!!! Whooo hooo!!
Here are a couple more glimpses of what’s inside:
Weekly Calendars:
Check out the awesome, original block design in the left hand margin (this Whirling Plus design is by the talented Josi Heron of Avocado Quilts!) Each weekly spread will show a fabulous block design by a blogger in our quilting community.
I also love that at the top of each day of the week, there is space to include your daily top three. These are the top three things you have to do during the day in order to feel that you’ve accomplished the big stuff (I promise – crossing these things off your list at the end of every day will make you sleep better!)
And one of my favorite parts of this whole book is the separate to-do lists for your work, personal and quilting aspects of life.
Individual Project Planning Pages:
You can track all the steps you need to take to complete the project, and list out the supplies you have, and those you need. You can even attach an inspirational picture or sketch a block design, and attach swatches of fabric with included sticky dots!
There are so many more wonderful sections of the planner. I hope you’ll click over to Indiegogo and check it out.
How You Can Help
So many of you have given me immense support throughout the development of this project. In many ways, it is a community project, and I am so grateful.
If you can take a second of your time to help me spread the word about the planner, I would appreciate it so much. You can click to share this blog post (there are icons at the bottom of the post, or in the top right corner of my blog). Or you can log on to Indiegogo, and use the share tools in the left and right margins. If you use the share tools on the Indiegogo site, you will be automatically entered into my Indiegogo Share contest. The friends who share the most (because sharing is caring) will receive rewards from me like a free planner, a fabric bundle, or a fun t-shirt!
Indiegogo is a fabulous site for start-ups and creative projects (be careful –browsing through the fascinating projects is totally addictive). It allows me to collect pre-orders for the planner, which makes it much easier to determine how many to print. I have already invested substantial funds into the complete development of the planner, but I am publishing the project on Indiegogo to support the printing.
What I love about Indiegogo is that I don’t have to meet a “funding goal” in order to go ahead and print the planners and send them out into the world (unlike Kickstarter, another well-known crowd-funding site). So if you order a planner, you are guaranteed to receive a planner. There’s no threat of an unsuccessful crowd-funding project.
I have pulled together a fabulous team, and I am so grateful that they are all such incredible idea partners. Thank you to all of you (you definitely know who you are because I have exhausted you over the last several months) who have made this project a reality.

Congratulations!!! I am so excited for you. And a little bit for me since you’ve told me that my block will be featured. I’m off to collect orders from my guild.
Hi Stephanie, can’t wait for my planner…it will make a fabbo gift for quilting friends, too!
Your planner looks absolutely amazing! I’m ordering (pre-ordering) one as soon as I’m done leaving this comment. I’ve struggled to get things accomplished in my sewing room this year…not really finishing anything for the first time since I started quilting. Part of the problem has been physical injuries…and part has been dealing with a (wonderful!) new puppy. But then, I read about all the young mothers with such limited time to quilt and I know I can do better. So, you’ve inspired me to get my act together. Thank you!
Congratulations on the launch! The planner looks beautiful and everything seems so polished, Stephanie. I am so excited for you and I wish you and the planner a lot of success. 🙂
Stephanie, seriously awesome on this one! I can’t even imagine the time it took to pull together. It is a beautiful planner!

What a wonderful planner. Will it be made and printed in the United States?
Oops…never mind… I just saw that it is being printed and made in the USA. Thanks so much.
Congratulations, Stephanie! The planner looks fantastic. I just wrote a whole blog about you and the planner, check it out. I wish you all the success.
This is so exciting! Congratulations! I follow you on Bloglovin and also signed up for your newsletter.
I have to tell you, I am really, really wincing at $9 shipping. Sorry, but I think you deserve honest feedback. ~ Karen aka Lace Faerie
I appreciate your feedback. I wish there was a cheaper way, but it’s impossible to offer tracking and timely delivery for less. Shipping is getting more and more expensive for individuals and small businesses, but Amazon is able to start delivering on Sundays. WHAT?!?! I honestly don’t get it!!! I’m not a conspiracy theorist, but it does make you wonder….
CONGRATS TO YOU!! FOLLOW>GMAIL NEWSLETTER.
